Mike McDaniel’s Blunt Admission After Dolphins-Titans Says It All hoan

The Miami Dolphins continue to search for answers to their anemic offense. Whatever solution they brought with them to Week 4’s showdown against the Tennessee Titans simply did not work, as the Fins suffered a 31-12 loss to Mason Rudolph and company.

It was the third game in a row where the Dolphins scored no more than 12 points. Over their last three outings, they have cobbled up just 25 points — six fewer than what the Titans put together on Monday.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel knows there are issues on offense and he brought up one reason behind the debacle.

“There’s a major disconnect between preparation and execution,” McDaniel said after the game, per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.

Miami’s attack would have likely been much more productive if not for the Dolphins’ quarterback woes. Tua Tagovailoa is out with a head injury, while Skylar Thompson is sidelined with an upper-body issue. With both Tagovailoa and Thompson unavailable, the Dolphins went with Tyler Huntley, who just got signed by Miami in mid-September off the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad.

Against the Titans, Huntley went 14-of-22 for only 96 passing yards with zero touchdowns. Although he did not get picked off, Huntley clearly still needs better chemistry with his teammates, including wide receiver Tyreek Huntley, who only had 17 receiving yards on four catches and seven targets.

Whether it’s time for the Dolphins to panic or not, they have to win in Week 5 versus the New England Patriots in Foxborough before things get worse for them.
