Un automóvil que pasaba observó a Violet y a muchos otros perros encerrados en cadenas metálicas super gruesas que no sólo restringían a los perros vagabundos, sino que también lastimaban.
Violet tenía unos 2 años cuando fue descubierta, y la fundadora y directora de NMDOG, Angela Stell, creía que había estado encerrada toda su vida.
Violet y otros cinco perros fueron encontrados en un pedazo de tierra en Nuevo México, donde es ilegal usar una cadena de perros cuando no están bajo control humano.
Enviaron la oficina del sheriff local a la zona para tratar de localizar al dueño, pero parecía que el perro había sido abandonado. Todos fueron llevados por NMDOG, incluida Violet, y el viaje de recuperación comenzó.
Stell agregó: “Ella estaba conmocionada, todavía un poco asustada, y dijeron que Violet podría haber sido maltratada por su comportamiento.
Afortunadamente, el cachorro está en buen estado de salud y se está recuperando del trauma y será elegible para adopción cuando se recupere por completo.
