Miscarried Baby Gɪrʟ Lives For 2 Hours In Mom’s Arms Before She Passes On
ʟᴏss in infants and children is a topic that receives as much attention and awareness as it deserves. It is difficult to talk about a mother who has had a Mɪꜱᴄᴀrrɪᴀɢᴇꜱor a child who has been on earth for a few hours. Here is a similar story about a wOᴍᴀɴ who held her miscarried daughter in her arms for a short time before she gave birth.
Alyssa Young and her husBᴀɴd are extremely happy because their first child is named Scarlett. Alyssa Young’s pregnancy is considered high rɪsᴋ because she has cerebral palsy and type 2 diabetes
Until September, everything was fine and Scarlett was perfect but Alyssa felt that she was suffering from unusual pain. At first, Alyssa ignored the pain and assumed these were normal signs of pregnancy, but the growing problem left her with abdominal and pelvic pain.
Doctors say she and Scarlett are fine, but Alyssa has a motherly hunch that soᴍᴇᴛʜing is wrong. It was October 3, when Alyssa was taken to the Labor & Dᴇʟɪᴠᴇrʏ department, where doctors explained the reason behind Alyssa’s unusual amount of pain.
“When we arrived at the hospital, the kind nurses made sure I was comfortable… Once I was settled in, the obstetrician came to check on me. He told us that I have cervical impotence or my body is trying to misCᴀrrʏ our beautiful baby Gɪrʟ.”
Doctors performed an ultrasound to make sure the baby was fine and healthy but despite the magnesium in her body, Alyssa’s cervix continued to dilate.
She has cervical insufficiency, a condition that affects 1 in 100 women. At 20 weeks and 5 days, Scarlett was still too young to have survived a lengthy labor in the past.
Scarlett’s two special hours with her family were captured by her own grandmother. Scarlett couldn’t survive for more than two hours, but her mother is inspiring others to come and speak out about cervical impotence.
