El surcoreano Jung Myoung Sook, de 61 años, pasó 26 años salvando la vida de su perro. A través de sus esfuerzos, logró salvar y cuidar a más de 200 cachorros.
Sook no solo cuida a los perros perdidos, sino que también compra perros que se venden en restaurantes, a pesar de que es pobre.
Suck le dijo a The Associated Press que sus hijos no pasan hambre y que pueden jugar y vivir libremente. A pesar de ser conocida por algunos como una “mujer mendicante de mediana edad”, Jung se centró en criar a sus hijos y siempre fue feliz y saludable.
Desafortunadamente, tuvo que mudarse siete veces debido a que los vecinos se quejaron del ruido.
Se dice que las personas mayores en Corea del Sur todavía comen carne de perro como alimento. por otro lado, las mascotas son cada vez más populares entre las generaciones más jóvenes.
