A mom-to-be in California has been gaining a lot of attention for her super-big baby ʙᴜᴍᴘ. Brooke Luney, who’s pregnant with her sixth child, says she’s always “ᴄᴀʀʀɪᴇᴅ very big”. “It’s extra noticeable because I’m 4 foot 11 [150cm] and I have a short torso,” Brooke, 32, told. “Strangers will stop me in a store wanting to know if I’m expecting triplets,” she said.
One person commented that her baby was living in ‘a loft with WiFi’ inside her belly. The mum, 32, says she has always ‘ᴄᴀʀʀɪᴇᴅ very big’ and blames her ‘short torso’ for her particularly large ʙᴜᴍᴘ. Her ʙᴜᴍᴘ ᴀᴛᴛʀᴀᴄᴛᴇᴅ much attention due to her stomach and people run to her comment sections to note its size. People have asked her if she has ɢᴇsᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ᴅɪᴀʙᴇᴛᴇs, which is when a mother has a higher than normal ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ pressure, causing “babies to grow to large,” according to the Mayo Clinic.
She also noted that when she went to get a sᴄᴀɴ, during her 35th week of pregnancy, her baby was at six pounds, four ounces, her pregnancy is going smoothly. She has been asked if she has ɢᴇsᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ᴅɪᴀʙᴇᴛᴇs, a condition which can cause babies to grow too large if left ᴜɴᴛʀᴇᴀᴛᴇᴅ. She does not. Luney added that she doesn’t have an excess of ᴀᴍɴɪᴏᴛɪᴄ ꜰʟᴜɪᴅ, either. “I’ve had a healthy, ᴜɴᴄᴏᴍᴘʟɪᴄᴀᴛᴇᴅ ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ,” Luney said, adding that at her 35-week sᴄᴀɴ, her unborn baby boy was measuring on track at six pounds, four ounces. She simply just has a big ʙᴜᴍᴘ, which in most cases, is “completely healthy,” according to Flo.
On TikTok, Brooke says that she’s been enjoying her viewers’ responses to her ʙᴜᴍᴘ. She told: “Lots of them are from teenage boys and I find them hilarious. They’re kids and they don’t know.” In one now viral TikTok, Brooke cradles her baby ʙᴜᴍᴘ as her caption explains a recent interaction she had. It reads: “Someone told me my belly is so big my baby is living in a loft and already has WiFI.” She then added her own perspective, writing: “Nothing but the best for my babies.”
In another clip the mum shared how she was sᴜꜰꜰᴇʀɪɴɢ with back ᴘᴀɪɴ and claimed she’d had to buy a new bed because her ʙᴜᴍᴘ had gotten so big and she wasn’t able to sleep comfortably. She explained: “I did have to buy a new bed and frame so I could incline when I sleep. The pressure laying flat is ʜᴏʀʀɪʙʟᴇ.” Brooke’s videos have gone viral, garnering thousands of likes and replies, with one fellow mum branding her ʙᴜᴍᴘ the ‘biggest’ she’s ever seen.
