Iп Iпdia, A 70-Year-Old Womaп Gives Birth To Her First Child

One of the oldest first-time mothers in the world, an Indian woman gave birth to her first child at the age of 70 after deciding with her husband to undergo IVF therapy one last time. Jivunben Rabari and her 75-year-old husband Maldhari proudly displayed their son to media while announcing that he was conceived through I.V.F.

She may be among the oldest first-time mothers in history after Rabari revealed to the media that she was 70 years old. Nevertheless, Erramatti Mangayamma, an Indian woman who was 74 when she gave birth to twin girls in September 2019, is regarded as the oldest.

In Gujurat, India, a little town called Mora, Rabari and Maldhari have been married for 45 years and have been trying to conceive for many years without success.

They were successful in getting pregnant with IVF, which is effective after menopause. Naresh Bhanushali, the couple’s physician, described it as “one of the rarest cases I have ever seen.” When they originally came to see us, we informed them that they were too old to have children, but they insisted, according to Dr. Bhanushali. Many of their family members, according to them, also engaged in it. One of the rarest cases I’ve ever seen is this one.

Due to the fact that the majority of women experience the menopause between the ages of 40 and 50, the likelihood of a woman in her 70s being naturally pregnant is practically nonexistent. But the american Sᴏᴄiety ᴏf reprodᴜᴄtive mediᴄine (ASRM) claims that any woman of any age can get pregnant with medісаl help provided that she has a “normal uterᴜs,” even if she no longer has ᴏᴠaries. Medics use an egg donated by a much younger woman, and it is fertilized outside of the body using a man’s sperm.

In order to get the woman pregnant, the embry is eventually put inside her womb.

In India, IVF has been used to create children in a number of cases involving women in their 60s and 70s. Mangayamma, who gave birth to twins through IVF at the age of 74, is thought to be the oldest woman in history to give birth.

Following IVF treatments using a donor’s egg and her husband’s sperm, Mangayamma gave birth to twin girls on September 5, 2019, in a “medical miracle.”

The retiree from the state of Andhra Pradesh revealed that her 55-year-old neighbor’s pregnancy had given her the idea to try for a child.
