Could this be the latest addition to the list of the world’s tallest dogs? With a height of almost 43 inches from paw to shoulder and an impressive weight of 245 pounds, meet George, a Great Dane who looks more like a miniature horse than a dog. The photos were taken in the parks of Tucson, Arizona, where George roams.
Dave Nasser and his beloved pet, ‘Giant George,’ often find themselves resting together on the couch. This oversized Great Dane is only four years old but already weighs an astonishing 245 pounds and stands almost 43 inches tall at the shoulder. George has a peaceful demeanor, earning him the nickname “gentle giant.” His length from nose to tail measures a whopping 7 feet 3 inches, which could potentially position him as a record holder. Gibson, the former record holder, sadly passed away from cancer last August. Guinness World Records is currently reviewing George’s information to determine if he is the new title holder. Dave points out that George is incredibly unique, measuring exactly 42.625 inches at the shoulder. The furry giant consumes around 110 pounds of food every month and sleeps in a queen-sized bed all to himself. Dave and his wife, Christine, never imagined George would grow to be this large when they adopted him at just seven weeks old.
George is truly impressive as he measures over 7 feet long from nose to tail and weighs a whopping 245 pounds.
George, the giant dog, has grown so much that he now faces challenges fitting into his owner’s SUV. Additionally, his owners had to upgrade him from a king-sized bed when it became too small. Dr. William Wallace of Buena Pet Clinic in Tucson, who witnessed the documentation for the Guinness record, stated that George is the tallest dog he has seen in his 45 years of working with giant breed dogs. While Dave rushes to obtain the necessary documentation for the Guinness records, other dog owners are stepping forward and claiming the record. While waiting for the results, George enjoys his newfound stardom and even has his own fan page on Facebook and Twitter accounts. It seems the sky’s the limit for this massive hound.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the size of George’s paws, which make Dave’s hand look small in comparison. Speaking of George, there’s a possibility he could be the world’s tallest dog with his impressive 7-foot-long body and Great Dane breed. What do you think?
