Echo, la gran danesa, nació sorda y ciega, y su dueño la veía como una “carga no deseada”. La perra tenía solo 12 semanas cuando la enviaron a sacrificar, pero su destino cambió cuando una mujer llamada Marion Dwyer se fijó en ella. Marion recuperó a Echo de inmediato y la llevó a su casa en Niagara Falls, Nueva York.
Echo, a pesar de sus limitaciones, se convirtió en la perra más encantadora y cariñosa. Sin embargo, no fue hasta que Marion quedó embarazada que notó una diferencia significativa en el comportamiento de Echo.
